The M60A3 was the most advanced version of the M60 main battle tank, introduced in 1978. It featured a laser rangefinder, improved fire control system, thermal night sight (TTS), upgraded electronics, and enhanced safety systems, while retaining the reliable 105mm gun and powerful AVDS-1790 diesel engine. Widely used by the U.S. Army and allied nations, the M60A3 remained in service for decades before being replaced by the M1 Abrams.
