1:35 Merkava Mk.4M with Roof-Mounted Slat Armor - MENG

The Merkava Mk.4M, an indigenous main battle tank developed and produced by Israel, made its battlefield debut in 2011. Serving as a pivotal model within the Merkava series, the Mk. 4M marks a significant shift from mechanized to information warfare, embodying a futuristic vision with "Trophy" active protective system and modular armor. Recent localized conflicts have introduced new challenges in the form of suicide and explosive-laden  small drones. These threats from the sky can circumvent the 'Trophy' system's defensive range, targeting the more vulnerable top of the tank's turret. In response, Israel has enhanced the Merkava Mk.4M with slat armor atop the turret.
