The M28A1/A2 Super Assault Tank is a fictional "what-if" development of the American T28 Super Heavy Tank, imagining how the vehicle might have evolved had it entered U.S. Army service after World War II. Rather than a historical production model, it represents a speculative modernization featuring either a 120mm T53 or 155mm T7 main gun—both real weapons that were tested on later American heavy tank projects such as the T30 and T34.
