The M1 Super Sherman is an upgraded version of the classic Sherman tank, developed by Israel in the post–World War II era to meet the demands of modern armored warfare. Based on the American M4A1 and M4A3 hulls, the M1 Super Sherman was fitted with a powerful French CN 75-50 75mm gun—derived from the German Panther’s long-barreled cannon—as well as improved fire-control systems and armor enhancements. These modifications gave the aging Sherman platform a new lease on life, allowing it to stand against more modern Soviet-built tanks in Middle Eastern conflicts such as the Six-Day War and the Yom Kippur War. This model faithfully captures the unique hybrid appearance of the Super Sherman, blending the classic lines of WWII armor with Cold War-era upgrades.
