1:35 British QUAD GUN TRACTOR from TAMIYA
Share
The Morris Commercial C8 FAT (Field Artillery Tractor), commonly known as a Quad, is an artillery tractor used by the British and Commonwealth (including Canadian Army) forces during the Second World War. It was used to tow field artillery pieces, such as the 25-pounder gun-howitzer, and anti-tank guns, such as the 17-pounder. Approximately 20,000 units of the CMP (Canadian Military Pattern) FAT-1 to FAT-6 gun tractors were produced. Among these, the most produced gun tractor was the CMP FAT-2 which could be easily recognized due to its distinctive squarish form.
This kit is a 1:35 scale plastic assembly model of the Canadian Military Pattern (CMP) FAT-2 Gun Tractor with unique box-shaped form of the Gun Tractor. The ladder frame and suspension, 4WD mechanisms, winch, and the V8 engine have all been precisely remodeled. The interior, front and rear seats all have a realistic finish. The hood and canopy can be removed and you can choose to assemble the doors in either an open or a closed position. Decals to depict the Canadian 1st Infantry Division and the British 8th Army are included. One driver figure wearing a beret and shorts included in the kit.
